-
Art
& Environment: Artists, craftspeople, and decorators
prepare the worship space through the use of visual arts, creating
an atmosphere which is beautiful and inviting to the assembly of
believers.
-
Bread
Baker: Bread
bakers provide the work of human hands which make the bread that
becomes the Body of Christ at Eucharist.
-
Drama/Dance:
The Newman Players enhance the liturgy through dramatic
proclamation of Scripture and creative movement.
-
Eucharistic
Minister: In a spirit of reverence, Eucharistic Ministers
share the Body and Blood of Christ with the assembly.
-
Greeter:
As the Body
of Christ assembles for worship, greeters welcome all who come to
the feast, extending a warm smile and friendly "hello".
-
Lector:
After careful
preparation and prayer, lectors proclaim the scriptures (Word of
God) during liturgical celebrations.
-
Liturgy
Planning: The
planning for the liturgical seasons involves studying the Scriptures,
prayers, and our own traditions; making proposals for music, texts,
environment and ritual movement; communicating the directions to
the ministers and evaluating the season afterwards.
-
Mass
Coordinator: In service to the assembly, Mass Coordinators
prepare and clean the liturgical vessels and elements for worship.
-
Music:
The music ministry
is designed to serve the voice of the worship assembly. Vocalists
and instrumentalists (keyboard, guitars, strings, brass, woodwinds
and percussion) participate in weekly rehearsals and occasional
workshops to develop excellence within the choirs and ensembles.
-
Sound
System Operator: During liturgical celebrations, the operator
controls the mixing board for all microphone sound levels. Training
is provided.
