Additional ABGPS Committees
The main duties of each committee are described below:
- Awards Gala: This committee plans the
biggest event that ABGPS holds during the year. Because this is a glitzy
event, it is important for this committee to determine all logistics
of the event, which will include recognition of exemplary faculty,
graduating members, etc.
- Community Relations: This committee works
to get members organized for the targeted community service
projects ABGPS participates in each year.
- Professional Development: This committee works to
enhance the professional development of its members by strengthening
the Association's foundation in professional development activities.
ABGPS will collaborate with PFF (Preparing Future Faculty) on professional development activities this year.
- Social Events: This committee plans social events
for the Association throughout the year. It is imperative for ABGPS
to strengthen its connections with its members in an environment that
encourages fun and learning more about one another.
