What are the benefits of becoming a member?
A direct hand in helping AAA provide more programming and opportunities for new events so we can all have fun!
Midwest Asian American Student Union (LR & SC)
Being a member of AAA grants you benefits/discounts from MAASU that normally would not get; you may also get a reduction in registration fees, transportation fees, hotel, and food.
Semi-Formals (Winter & Spring)
Members always receive a discounted rate for formals since we know how poor college students are. The price for a ranged course meal and speaker can be a heavy one but AAA tries its best to help its members.
Year-round Discounts
AAA purchases and provides great T-shirts, fleeces, and many other things for its members at a given discount rate for those supporting the wonderful organization. This alone is a good advantage for paid members.
Voting Privileges
You have the personal right and responsibility to choose who leads AAA each year in our Executive Elections. This can be an arduous but important task for AAA’s future and solely a right given to paid members.
Pride!
Last but not lest, we hope becoming a paid member bestows a special sense of pride, as you are helping keep AAA alive through funding. This is your organization! The Asian American Association would not be here and be able to do half the things without its dedicated members!
How much does it cost?
Simple!
You can either pay $10 per semester or $15 for a year membership!
How much would I actually save?
Keep more of your money. Here is the breakdown of expenses that AAA members save on. Figures are from Fall 2007 semester.
MAASU LR: $20 per person
Actual Price: $95 per person
Winter Semi-Formal: $15 per person (lowest price ever!)
Actual Price: $22.55 per person
Winter Fleeces: $25 each
Actual Price: $30 each

Overall, AAA members saved a total of $62.55!
