Join us as we kickoff our first event of Asian American Awareness (AAA) Week: a big barbecue hosted by the Asian American Association! Food and drinks will be provided and there is no charge to attendees whatsoever! We will be having partner relays, prizes, sports, and a whole bunch of games! Asian American Awareness Week 2009: Unraveling the Model Minority
Join us at Speaker's Circle where there will be plenty of volunteers passing out pamphlets over Asian American stereotypes. In particular we will be focusing on the Model Minority. There will be spoken word and readings of important messages from influential Asian Americans about stereotypes. For all this and more be sure to come out and support this year's AAA Week's Campaign

Got an appetite for ethnic food? Growing tired of the same boring food? Visit our showcase of booths that represent the cultured personalities of several Asian countries. Modeled after the Street Markets of Asia, Feast from the Far East will actively engage guests into the country's culture while enjoying great food.

Need a "middle of the week pick-me-up?" Come see the talented Asian American community here at Mizzou perform in this year's AAA Week Variety show; a showcase of traditional fashion from various countries of Asia, singing, dancing, and martial arts, hosted by your very own Mr. and Mrs. AAA!

At Activate Your Appetite, you can learn how to make appetizers like a professional with fully prepared demonstrations. We will provide the food! Transformation: The Next Stage
Ever wonder what life is like after college? How should you prepare yourself for the workforce or graduate school? Are you an underclassman who wants to learn some secrets on how to survive school? Does APIA activism stop after college? Come join us for our first alumni panel discussion where our very own alumni from all of the country answer these very questions. (Interactive activity and reception included!)
