Kick-start the Change!
Join us as we kickoff our first event of Asian American Awareness (AAA) Week: a big barbecue hosted by the Asian American Association! Food and drinks will be provided and there is no charge to attendees whatsoever! We will be having partner relays, prizes, sports, and a whole bunch of games! So be sure to come out, meet new people, and have a blast!

Asian American Awareness Week 2009: Unraveling the Model Minority
Join us at Speaker's Circle where there will be plenty of volunteers passing out pamphlets over Asian American stereotypes. In particular we will be focusing on the Model Minority. There will be spoken word and readings of important messages from influential Asian Americans about stereotypes. For all this and more be sure to come out and support this year's AAA Week's Campaign

Modeled after the Street Markets of Asia, Feast from the Far East will actively engage guests into the country's culture while enjoying great food.
